Postdoctoral Research Fellows

We are always interested in hearing from experienced scientists who wish to work in quantum information and technology.

We're an experimental group that also does theory. and we've a number of projects in the Quantum Technology Lab at the University of Queensland. You will have a chance to work with, and gain expertise in, a suite of techniques and technologies, including design and construction of integrated photonic circuits, electron-beam lithography, quantum dots, and photon measurement using both transition-edge photon counters and superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors. Prior experience in any of the following areas is valuable but not required: quantum information; quantum optics; two-photon experiments; cryogenic systems; precision optical experiments. Successful candidates will join an active team, and will have an opportunity to participate in all our projects. Ability to take a creative leadership role as part of a team is essential.

Typically, our Fellows have a two or three year fixed-term appointment at Academic Level B, with the possibility of a one or two year extension. In 2024, the remuneration package is in the range of $106,080–$125,688 per annum; in addition to this there is an employer superannuation contribution of 17%. For more information please contact Professor Andrew White.
